Lindsey Shewbridge
Lindsey Shewbridge is a founding member of the Southeast Trumpet Connection. She began playing trumpet in the sixth grade to pursue the same love for the trumpet as demonstrated by her father, grandfather and uncle. Lindsey attended Lord Botetourt High School in Daleville, Virginia and participated in the Cavalier Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band and All-District Band. She also plays for various church and community organizations and enjoys working and volunteering with an assortment of church and band camps to mentor young people and share her passion for music. In fall of 2008, Lindsey began a new journey at Lee University as a Music Education Major with a minor in Business. During her time at Lee, she has been involved in the Lee University Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and Symphonic Band. Also, she is a sister of the Lambda Eta chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, a collegiate member of MENC (The National Association for Music Education) and WBDI (Women Band Directors International). Lindsey has studied with Mr. Philip Morehead and is currently studying with Mr. David Hobbs.
