Jon Botset

Jon is the bass guitar player of the Southeast Trumpet Connection.  He is from Chester, Virginia and has been playing the bass guitar for over 8 years.  Jon is studying Church Music with a minor in Jazz Studies at Lee University, where he has played with the Jazz Band, Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Pep Band, Symphonic Band and others.  Ever since the Fall of 2009, he has also been a member of the the Pi Xi chapter of the music fraternity Phi Mu Alpha.  Other instruments that Jon plays are the trombone (which he has played since sixth grade), euphonium, piano and acoustic guitar.
