Gabriel Lajas

Gabriel is a founding member and the musical director of the Southeast Trumpet Connection. He began playing the trumpet in 2000 and hasn't looked back. In his four years as an undergraduate student at Lee University Gabriel was a member of the Lee University Wind Ensemble, where he was the Principal Trumpet for two years. He was also a member of the Lee University Jazz Ensemble, where he was Lead Trumpet for two years and Section Leader for one year. Gabriel graduated from Lee with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in December of 2010 and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Music Performance from Lee University, where he will study with Mr. David Hobbs. Gabriel is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
